SAVHA Membership
Membership with our group is established through annual dues which is currently billed at $25 per family per calendar year. As a non-profit group, we are dependent on dues and donations to provide the financial resources for our projects.
If you believe that the history of our San Antonio Valley and Southern Monterey County area is important and worthy of support, please consider becoming a member. Use the form below to provide your name, mailing address, email and phone number.
Here are some of the benefits of membership:
- Receipt of our semi annual newsletters via mail or email
- Access to announcements about upcoming events including annual Spring Tour and Fall Lecture
- Connections to like-minded people who have knowledge of the area and appreciate our history
- Opportunities to pursue projects related to local history including oral history interviews and written documents.
- Updates on our historical archives (stored at the Monterey County Agriculture and Rural Life Museum archive room at San Lorenzo Park) and our support of the online California Digital Newspaper Collection (cdnc.ucr.edu) which is providing access to past issues of The Rustler newspaper as well as the microfilm reader at the King City branch of the Monterey County Free Library.
- Membership offers the chance to serve on our board of directors which determines projects.
- Current membership include more than 50 families and 21 Lifetime members as of December 2020
